Pianist

Érik Berchot is a concert pianist trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he won First Prizes in piano and chamber music.

He subsequently honed his skills under the guidance of major piano figures such as Yvonne Loriod, Germaine Mounier, Georgy Sebok, Léon Fleisher, Dimitri Bashkirov, and Arthur Rubinstein.

A prize-winner at numerous prestigious international competitions (Viotti, Maria Canals, Marguerite Long, Chopin, Young Artists International in New York, etc.), he pursues an international career spanning more than forty countries and performs as a soloist with major European and international orchestras.

A close associate of Michel Legrand, he has recorded several of his works and collaborated with filmmaker Claude Lelouch as a pianist, actor, and composer.

From 2007 onwards, he accompanied Charles Aznavour as a solo pianist during his concerts in Paris and around the world.

Composer and professor at at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Erik Berchot is a Knight of the Order of Merit. Today he continues an activity artistic and educational intense, between concerts, recordings and creations.
