Light coloratura soprano and passionate flautist, Julia Jeanne-Bianchi embodies a dual musical identity which nourishes the singularity of her artistic profile.
Her musical journey began at the age of 16 with the theater company Canteluna. She completed a rigorous academic program in Normandy, eventually earning her DEM (*Diplôme d’Études Musicales*—Diploma of Musical Studies) at the Paris Regional Conservatory (*Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris*), where she studied in the class of soprano Valérie Millot. To further refine her artistry and vocal technique, she went on to pursue advanced training with prominent figures from the world of opera, including baritone Alain Buet, soprano Patricia Petibon, and opera singer Robert Expert...
In the early stages of her career, she has performed as a soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Orchestre La Philharmonie Parisienne, as well as in Fauré’s Requiem. On stage, she has appeared as Barbarina in Mozart’s "The Marriage of Figaro", as part of the artistic programming at the Château de Linières.
Possessing an agile, luminous, and virtuosic voice, Julia Jeanne-Bianchi excels particularly in sacred music and opera from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. She forms a highly regarded and closely attuned duo with organist Jean-Luc Fricou performing under the name "Alternatim" with whom she travels to churches and festivals to bring to life some of the most demanding works by composers such as Mozart, Bach, Purcell, and Haydn.
The flexibility and richness of her voice have also led her to perform frequently in recitals of melodies and Lieder with pianist Rin Araï, as well as in Baroque and Classical repertoire alongside organist Jean-Luc Fricou.
A consummate artist, her rigorous technical foundation infuses her vocal lines with a unique sense of precision, breath control, and sensitivity.
In 2027, she will perform the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s "The Magic Flute", with the Parisian company Les Folies du Temps, under the direction of Olivier Dejours.
