Thierry Sforza Lyricist & Librettist

Of Italian descent, Thierry began his career as a writer under the prestigious auspices of Pierre Delanoë. The renowned lyricist recognized Thierry’s aptitude for songwriting early on and sponsored his membership in Sacem...

Thierry recalls: "It was a tremendous honor for me to be sponsored by Pierre, undoubtedly the greatest popular music lyricist of the last half-century. My only regret? Never daring to collaborate with him. So, I listened to him closely and worked according to his advice to prove myself worthy of his choice."

He evidently succeeded, as Sacem would go on a few fine years later, in 2009 to award Thierry Sforza its "Grand Prix" and, the following year, honor him with the title of "Sociétaire Définitif" (Full Member). The SACD soon followed suit with similar recognition.

An eclectic artist, following his poetry collection “Souvenirs du temps présent” which earned him first prize from the newspaper “Libération”, Thierry first made a name for himself in radio during the morning shows on RFM, NRJ, RMC, RTL, and Europe 1, writing sketches and parodies for numerous comedians, including Laurent Gerra, Pascal Brunner, Chantal Gallia, Nicolas Canteloup, Didier Gustin, and Eric Blanc.

He then moved into television, working on shows hosted by Michel Drucker, Philippe Bouvard, Patrick Sébastien, and Karl Zéro, as well as “Les Guignols de l'Info”...

At the same time, his songs appeared on albums by Gilbert Bécaud, Mariah Carey, Florent Pagny, Patrick Bruel, Patricia Kaas, Melanie C (Spice Girls), Julie Zenatti, Natasha St-Pier, Zaz, Gilbert Montagné, Lorie, Anggun, Valentina, and even Ginette Reno whose song "La Grosse" went platinum and won the Album of the Year award in Quebec.

To complete the picture, let us mention three other major songs:

Furthermore, Thierry Sforza is a lifelong musical theatre enthusiast.
His track record is impressive:

In the realm of series, Thierry is developing two biopics with Thierry Binisti: one about Jacques Prévert titled "En Prévert et contre Tout," and another about Jacques Offenbach titled "Back to Offenbach."

A final note on Thierry Sforza’s career: it has also unfolded in the world of children, as his body of work includes:
