A prize-winner at the inaugural Rachmaninoff International Competition for pianists, conductors, and composers in Moscow, French conductor Clément Nonciaux has rapidly established himself on the international stage.

He performs regularly with leading Russian orchestras. In Moscow, he is frequently invited to conduct the Russian National Orchestra, the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra at the capital’s most prestigious venues. He has toured with soprano Aida Garifullina and collaborated with violinist Vadim Repin at his festival. His engagements have taken him across Russia, notably to Tatarstan (Kazan), Siberia (Novosibirsk), and the Urals (Perm).

Clément Nonciaux also pursues an active career in Europe. In France, he collaborates with the Orchestre de la Région Centre-Val de Loire and the Orchestre de Picardie. In Germany, he has served as an assistant to renowned conductors such as Steven Sloane and Karl-Heinz Steffens.

Deeply committed to promoting the French repertoire, he has already conducted its greatest symphonic and operatic works. His repertoire also includes choral masterpieces such as Britten’s “War Requiem”, Verdi’s “Requiem”, and Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. Furthermore, he regularly serves as a guest professor at the Bolshoi Theatre’s Opera Studio.

Clément Nonciaux dedicates himself to music with the aim of forging connections across the globe. Fluent in five languages, he is passionately committed to exploring foreign cultures in order to establish a closer bond with his audience.

Emotion and authenticity are his guiding principles: his expressive, theatrical conducting style brings life, depth, and sincerity to the stage.

Born in Tours, France, Clément Nonciaux holds a Master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the Berlin University of the Arts (studying under Steven Sloane and Harry Curtis) and a Bachelor’s degree from the Freiburg University of Music (studying under Scott Sandmeier).
