David Marino is a Canadian-American singer, actor, and crooner originally from Montreal. Acclaimed by critics for his rich voice and masterful interpretations of jazz and French chanson, he has established himself as one of the most captivating male voices of his generation, navigating brilliantly between the jazz scenes of New York and the musical theaters of Europe.

Born in Montreal, David felt a deep connection with music and the stage from a very young age. He first became known to the Canadian public by reaching the finals of the popular show La Voix (the Quebec version of The Voice), where his vibrant performances won the hearts of millions of viewers.

Inspired by the legends of the Great American Songbook and the giants of French chanson, he shaped his artistic identity at the crossroads of influences from Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel and Michel Legrand.

Trained at the prestigious The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, David Marino also shines on stage.
In The Young Girls of Rochefort, he played the role of Maxence in the stage adaptation of the famous work by Jacques Demy and Michel Legrand at the Théâtre du Lido (Lido de Paris) on the Champs-Élysées, a highly successful production that extended its run into 2026.
He has also played Tobias in Sweeney Todd à Opera Maine and Melchior in Spring Awakening.

From the Jazz Stage to International Theaters

After honing his skills at the renowned The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York, his artistic versatility has opened doors to the world's greatest stages.

David is also working on several album projects, including one featuring rearrangements of music by the late Michel Legrand, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning French composer. This album has received the approval of Michel Legrand's estate in Paris, as well as from Michel Legrand's widow, Macha Meril.

On the Jazz Stage

Known for his unique magnetism, he performs regularly in legendary clubs, from the Birdland Jazz Club in New York to the prestigious Place des Arts in Montreal. This international recognition was crowned by the prestigious Outstanding Male Vocalist award at the Bistro Awards 2026 in New York.

On the Stage

A seasoned actor, David has distinguished himself in musical theatre around the world. He has notably played Tobias in Sweeney Todd (Opera Maine) and Melchior in Spring Awakening. In 2025 and 2026, he brilliantly played the lead role of Maxence in the acclaimed adaptation of The Young Girls of Rochefort on the legendary stage of Lido 2 Paris on the Champs-Élysées.
