Egon Zanne

Bass

Egon Zanne is a 28-year-old French bass. He began his musical studies at the age of 15 at the Épinal Conservatory, where he earned his CEM with honors.

In 2018, he joined the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, where he specialized in the performance of the Baroque repertoire. He obtained his DEM with honors there in 2022. Alongside his studies, he attended numerous masterclasses and training programs to broaden his range of skills, including sessions in Sablé-sur-Sarthe with Mathias Vidal (which he joined thanks to an Orange Foundation Merit Scholarship) and at Castel Artes with Edwin Crossley-Mercer, as well as work with Marc Mauillon (vocal technique), Maarten Königsberger (Lieder), Stéphane van Dick (French “mélodie”), and Till Fechner (bel canto).

Since then, he has collaborated with several leading ensembles, such as Le Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Correspondances, and Les Épopées. He has also performed on many major stages alongside the choirs of the Opéra de Tours, the Opéra National de Lorraine, the Opéra de Metz, and the Opéra Royal at the Palace of Versailles.

These varied experiences highly formative in both the concert and opera repertoires have enabled him to develop solid stage experience, both as a concert singer and as a performer in operatic productions.
